The Social Work Focus Group in End of Life Care represents those social workers involved in hospice programs, palliative care units, and facilities providing end of life care or any social worker who is impacted by end of life issues in their practice. Our goal is to insure that these social workers have an opportunity to come together for education and support, so that they may be more effective advocates for end of life care which reflects their clients’ needs and wishes.
Our current focus has been to identify the social workers who provide end of life care in Maine and offer them the opportunity to establish a most valuable professional network. Our meetings will have an educational focus. If interested in being included in this group please contact the Maine Hospice Council office.
